Making an argument for MVP II

Time to talk about the favorite for NL MVP, which I think should be Matt Holiday of the Colorado rockies. He is the number 2 offensive player in the majors, trailing only A-rod in overall offensive production. The race for MVP is much tighter in the NL than the AL but Holliday's numbers are above and beyond those at the top of the NL in terms of performance, production and consistency. Lets look at the numbers:

Holliday - 112,36,131,11,.339

H. Ramirez - 117,28,75,50,.333

Wright - 103,30,89,31,.318

Rollins - 130,28,89,37,.294

C. Jones - 101,26,96,5,.342

As you can see the race in the NL is much tighter that the race in the AL. Chipper Jones and Matt Holliday come in with the highest WPA with Jones @ 4.19 and Holliday @ 4.12. Based on these numbers and the fact that he is playing for the Rocks I feel he stands out in this class of the 2007 elite.
