"I have concluded that the prison sentence given to Mr. Libby is excessive.”

Commutation: A change of a legal penalty or punishment to a lesser one

This statement does not come from a Judge but from the bright shining dimwit that is our President. Now I don't know how big a deal it is to lye to people investigating the leak of the name of a CIA operative, but if a judge decides your sentence should involve going to prison then it must be serious offense.

Scooter has appealed this case as many times as possible. His last judicial hope of postponing incarceration dissolved earlier Monday after a panel of judges ruled that he had to begin serving his sentence soon. He had already been assigned a federal prisoner number.

And now "this".

How much money has been wasted, spent on lawyers, spent on court time and investigations. How much precise court time has been squandered on this case when many others may have been attended too? Too much.

It is time to suck it up, do what any one of the rest of us would be forced to do when sentenced to prison, GO!
